What it does not prove

Claims citing this source at reconstructed, conditional or needs-verification, or demoted on review (downgraded): the source is a lead or partial corroboration for these, not proof.

Every claim citing this source is accepted as confirmed, supported or family-confirmed.

Open questions touching these claims

  • Where and exactly when was Assunta Fantini Facchinello born, who were her parents, and is her maiden name Fantini or (as one obituary transcription spells it) Fantin?

Order Assunta's 1970 Colorado death certificate (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, vital records index) for her birth date, birthplace, parents' names and the exact death date (6 vs 15 August 1970, conflict:assunta-fantini:death-date), then follow it into the Italian civil registration for the named comune. Two leads to test, not to enter: the spouse form “Assunta Fantin” in Primo's obituary transcription, and the 1950 census entry “naturalized: No”, which means she may have her own later naturalization or alien-registration file; the 1921 Logan County marriage record (FamilySearch Colorado county marriages, sign-in, or a Colorado State Archives request) would spell the maiden name.

    Related claims

  • When and where did Paul T. Fleenor and Emily Symons marry, and are 1 Jan 1913 and 17 Sep 1915 their record birth dates? The marriage is bounded only by Patricia's birth at Evanston in February 1933, so it was before 1933; the 1950 census schedule gives Paul's birth state as Iowa and Emily's as Illinois, and Paul's death in 1990 is now corroborated by two tier-2 sources. Both exact days still come from Find a Grave metadata only, and a 1 January birth is a common index placeholder.

FamilySearch "Illinois, County Marriages, 1810–1940" (post-1877 registers name the parties' parents) for FLEENOR–SYMONS, Cook County, 1930–1933, then the Cook County Clerk genealogy index as the paid fallback, then Iowa county marriages if Cook County is empty. Cook County birth certificates for Emily (1915), Patricia (1933) and Joan (1934), each of which names the parents and Paul's birthplace. Emily's 1975 Denver death certificate, and the Littleton Independent of July 1975 — the Denver Public Library's 1975–1979 obituary index has no Fleenor entry. For Paul, the Rocky Mountain News item of 17 December 1990 and his Colorado death certificate (question:paul-fleenor:parentage). Promote the marriage claim and the exact birth and death days only from those records; nothing opened names Paul's parents.

Conflicts touching these claims

  • Assunta Facchinello's death is dated 6 Aug 1970 by the Littleton interment-ledger extract (tier 2) and her Find a Grave memorial page, but “Aug. 15, 1970” by the unattributed 1980 obituary transcription on Primo's memorial (tier 3). The accepted claim carries August 6, 1970 at `supported`; the 15 August reading is held unaccepted (T-RES-004: deferred, not refuted; the death certificate decides).

    Resolution

deferred — the competing reading is a claim whose review is deferred, so it is not published until it is reviewed; the published side keeps its own status.
