Every exported claim about this person: what it says, how strong its best source is (tier 1 = original record image, 5 = unsourced lead), its review state, and the sources that carry it. Source links open the workings page for that citation.

claim:minnie-myrtis-mixon:name:1nameMinnie Myrtis Mixon

Handwritten cemetery notes and the linked FamilySearch record place Minnie Myrtis in John Edwin Mixon's sibling group; the Find a Grave interment list carries her married form “Minnie Myrtis Mixon Morgan”, kept as a variant. The connection to the direct line remains unresolved.

claim:minnie-myrtis-mixon:living-status:1living-statusdeceased

Deceased: both compiled sources give a death in 1943 and an interment in the Mixon Cemetery.

claim:minnie-myrtis-mixon:birth:1birthbirth · 1883

The two compiled sources disagree on the day and the year — the FamilySearch record gives 1 December 1882, the interment list 1 December 1883 — so the event carries the recorded 1883 year only and the disagreement is noted as a source defect, not opened as a conflict.

claim:minnie-myrtis-mixon:death:1deathdeath · 1943

The FamilySearch record gives 5 July 1943 and the interment list the 1943 year; the event carries the year only, because no record has been read.

Conflicts and open questions

  • Question question:mixon-cemetery-network:connection (open)

How do John Edwin Mixon's sibling group (children of Millard F. Mixon and Milberry Elizabeth Cook), the Foster/Carruth family in the Mixon Cemetery, and William Hilton Mixon connect to William Bennie Mixon's direct line?

Next: The one new observation of 2026-10-08 is a generation, not a link: Millard Fillmore Mixon (1857–1914), whom the compiled sources give as John Edwin's father, and James T. Mixon (1859–1937) are of one generation and share one family cemetery with their families. The 1860 and 1870 Amite County census images at MSGenWeb would show whether they were brothers, which would make John Edwin's group William Bennie's first cousins — a lead, not a claim, until a record states the relationship. Also compare the parents named in the FamilySearch record for John Edwin Mixon with J.T. Mixon's and William Bennie's households in the 1880 and 1900 Amite County census; for William Hilton, find a census household listing him with Tynes Sr. and their parents; the Foster/Carruth entries stay an associated network unless a record names a Mixon relationship.
