|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
claim:louise-landry:name:1 | name | Louise Landry Stated directly by tier-2 evidence: her husband's 1933 obituary names “Miss Louise Landry” as the woman he married in 1903; her memorial gives “Louise M Landry Decuir”, kept as a variant. FamilySearch lists Marie Louise Landry with matching 1884–1927 dates as spouse of George Francois DeCuir and child of Albert Landry; the compiled identity bridge is retained pending records. Her own parents are now entered as FamilySearch-sourced research leads (question:eugenie-decuir-mixon:parentage). | confirmed | 2 · official-transcript | accepted |

claim:louise-landry:living-status:1 | living-status | deceased Stated directly by tier-2 evidence: her husband's 1933 obituary reads “The wife and mother passed into life eternal, Nov. 22, 1927”; her memorial gives the same date. | confirmed | 2 · official-transcript | accepted |
|
claim:louise-landry:birth:1 | birth | birth · 1885 Her Find a Grave memorial gives 1885 as the year of birth, with no month, day or source (tier 3). Reconstructed: nothing opened gives a birth date and the Louisiana birth index is the record check. | reconstructed | 3 · compiled-genealogy | accepted |

claim:louise-landry:death:1 | death | death · November 22, 1927 Stated directly by tier-2 evidence: her husband's 1933 obituary reads “The wife and mother passed into life eternal, Nov. 22, 1927”, and her memorial gives the same date; nothing contradicts it. No place is recorded: the obituary gives the date only and “New Iberia” is a compiled field. | confirmed | 2 · official-transcript | accepted |

claim:louise-landry:parent-of:1 | parent-of | parent-of Eugenie DeCuir Mixon Named by a tier-2 source through a married style: his 1933 obituary states that he and Louise Landry had “three daughters—Mrs. Verne Thibodeaux, Mrs. Tynes Mixon and Mrs. Arthur Rouse”. Identifying “Mrs. Tynes Mixon” as Eugenie takes a three-source chain — the 1950 census schedule records Tynes Mixon's wife as “Eugenia D.”, the shared tomb reads “EUGENIE D. MIXON” and F.G.'s obituary gives his mother as “Eugenie Decuir Mixon” — and her memorial links the same parents. Promoted from conditional to supported and held there, not confirmed: the promotion rule needs tier 1–2 evidence stating the relationship directly, and a married style plus an identity chain is not that. Eugenie's own birth or baptismal entry, naming both parents, is the record check (question:eugenie-decuir-mixon:parentage). | supported | 2 · official-transcript | accepted |

claim:louise-landry:associated-with:1 | associated-with | associated-with John Albert “Al” Landry (lead) Family testimony says Nanette's father was Al Landry, and public New Iberia evidence supports John Albert “Al” Landry as a strong candidate; his connection to Louise Landry's line is undocumented, so he is placed as a lead. | needs-verification | 4 · family-testimony | accepted | |

Question
question:eugenie-decuir-mixon:parentage(open)Eugenie DeCuir Mixon's parentage is now named by a tier-2 source, but only through a married style: her father's obituary of 27 April 1933 names his and Louise Landry's three daughters, one of them “Mrs. Tynes Mixon”. What remains is Eugenie's own birth or baptismal entry naming both parents, that identification at certificate grade, and the Landry bridge: through which Landry is Nanette Landry a cousin of Michael's mother?
Next: Louisiana Secretary of State vital-records index (births more than 100 years old) for Decuir, Eugenie, 1908, and the Saint Peter's, New Iberia baptismal register (Diocese of Lafayette archives): either should name both parents and would take the parentage claims from supported to a direct statement. Then the Iberia Parish Clerk of Court's marriage licence of April 1903, which names both parties' parents, and the death index entries for Decuir, Louise, 1927 and Decuir, Frank, 1933 — the latter also settles the 1880-against-1879 birth-date conflict. For the Landry bridge: Louise Landry's memorial names her parents as Albert Landry (1850–1905) and Eugenie Comeaux Landry and her brothers Leon Joseph (1883–1959), Edmond Norbet (1886–1949) and Paul Tillhou (1888–1958), so a John Albert “Al” Landry would sit among those brothers' children; trace that deceased generation in the 1910 and 1920 census before treating Nanette as a cousin through the Landrys. No search is run for either living Landry.
